What do postpartum doulas do?
They can help with a range of topics that include, but are not limited to:
Newborn care and adjustment education
Tending to older children
Assistance with basic housekeeping and meal preparation
What else do doulas do?
Emotional Support for birthing parent, partner, and other immediate family members
Support in processing the birth story
Doulas refer to appropriate community resources as needed, including to Daisy C.H.A.I.N.'s lactation and feeding support team home visitors.
Individualized Support
Services wrap around from pregnancy to postpartum:
We like to meet with you before your birth born so we can get to know you and learn how to best support your family's specific needs.
We provide individuals and families with in-home doula care for two weeks post-pregnancy or after the arrival of baby.
Why Daisy CHAIN?
Our goals are that each parent and family we serve goes away with increased confidence, having learned something new, and has had their stress reduced.
We understand that each family is unique in their needs, so we strive to be flexible and creative in getting each person exactly the right fit for support from our team.
