Daisy C.H.A.I.N. is a nonprofit based in Eugene, Oregon serving all of Lane County.
Daisy C.H.A.I.N. provides the community with research- and evidence-based support services and education for individuals and families in their reproductive years.
All of our services are FREE, because everyone deserves support in their pregnancy and parenting experiences.
Daisy C.H.A.I.N. stands for racial and gender justice and is actively engaged in the movement for reproductive justice for Black, Latinx/a/o, Asian and indigenous folks, and other people of color in our community. This is both a matter of life and death and also of affirming the inherent worth and dignity of people of color in our community by working to address and remove systemic barriers that have been in place to prevent people of color from accessing care and entering the reproductive health professions.
We are actively engaged in deep internal work to shift the organization to center and elevate the voices and needs of people of color, and especially Black birth parents and Black women. We are actively engaged in movements for racial and gender justice and are committed to being engaged in ongoing dialogue around deconstructing white supremacy within our organization.
We are also advocates for trans and gender diverse birth parents, and we work to proactively use gender inclusive language in all our spoken and written communications. We are aware of the sensitive balance around racial and gender justice issues, and part of the work we are doing as an organization involves building bridges between different historically underrepresented communities to bring greater awareness and mutual understanding and allyship between gender diverse communities and communities of color.
